Rather than getting all techy, you could try getting hold of another iPhone/iPad/Mac and play the recordings into the normal dictation facilities that the devices already have. Then email the file you get back to the device where you want it. To use dictation on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, tap the microphone on the onscreen keyboard, then speak. Consult your iPhone or iPad user guide for details.; If the Slow Keys or Sticky Keys feature is turned on in the Accessibility pane of System Preferences, the default keyboard shortcuts for dictation might not work.

Step 1: Open System Preferences → Dictation & Speech. Step 2: Click the On radio button next to Enable Dictation and check Use Enhanced Dictation. This will require a 1.2 GB download to enable offline dictation, which is a prerequisite to completing step 3. Step 3: Open System Preferences → Accessibility → Dictation and check the box next to Enable the dictation keyword phrase. The keyword phrase defaults to the word Computer, but you can change it to something different if you’d like.

Step 4: Say “Computer Start Dictation” to begin dictation. To stop dictation, say “Computer Stop Dictation”.

So for you people who use FS and Lightroom the question is how do these two programs compare. My Macs I used in my business had a long stable life. Fast tone image viewer for windows on a mac. However, the Mac I want is $2600, so I am dragging my feet, but the constant outpooring of poorly designed Windows up=grades over the last decade has cost me a lot of time down and three high cost HP computers. So if Boot camp cannot run Faststone and create files that my Mac programs can work with then I guess I may have to live, learn and adapt without FS.
